Loctite RTV-587 Blue (Henkel part 2637002) is a sensor-safe, thixotropic, metallic blue silicone paste designed for form-in-place gasketing and flange sealing. It cures at room temperature to a flexible, oil-resistant gasket that resists cracking, shrinking, and joint migration. With temperature tolerance from –59 °C to +260 °C (intermittent) and excellent resistance to automotive fluids, it is ideal for engine covers, transmission pans, timing covers, oil and gear housings, and other demanding sealing applications.
