The Howmet / Marson BR6-12AAD (part number M40259, series AB6-12A) is an open-end blind rivet with both body and mandrel made of aluminum (5052), with a nominal diameter of 3⁄16-inch (0.187 in / ~4.75 mm) and a grip range of 0.626-inch to 0.750-inch (~15.90-19.05 mm). It has a dome (button) head, plain aluminum finish, and is supplied in bulk (500 pieces per pack). It is designed for applications where only one side of a joint is accessible, and where thicker material stacks must be fastened with an aluminum rivet to maintain lightweight and corrosion-resistant properties.
