This is a set of three hand taps made entirely from super high-speed steel (SHSS), designed for manual or powered tapping of through or blind holes. The set includes taper, plug, and bottoming taps, each featuring ground threads with H3 tolerance limits to ensure precision and standard “class of fit” for general-purpose threading applications. These taps are right-hand threaded with four flutes and are suitable for creating or repairing 1/4″-20 National Coarse (NC) threads.
