Loctite 268 (IDH 511535) is a red, high-strength anaerobic threadlocking stick in a non-drip, wax-like applicator form that locks and seals fasteners permanently to resist loosening from vibration and shock. It works on all metals—including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum, and plated surfaces—cures through light oil films, and allows disassembly only with localized heat (≈ 250–260 °C).
